Weekly House Days
- We encourage all students and staff to wear their House shirts on Fridays. This is not an all out House Day but simply shirts and small accessories like socks, bows, headbands, etc. No painting of hair, tutus, antennas, etc. That kind of stuff should be saved for our big House Days.
- All grade levels will sit by Houses during lunches on Fridays.

Bond 2022
HOW DOES THE DISTRICT DETERMINE THE PROJECTED TAX RATE IMPACT OF THE PROPOSED BONDS?
In projecting the potential tax rate impact from the issuance of the proposed bonds, the District utilizes projections from the District’s financial advisor, Post Oak Municipal Advisors LLC, that take into account a number of factors, including the timing and structure of future bond issues, estimated interest rates and estimates of future property values.
Based on the declining debt service on the District’s currently outstanding debt obligations and forecasted amounts of property tax revenue to be collected each year, the District estimates that if approved, the bonds authorized under Propositions A and B could be paid without an increase to the District’s current tax rate.
More information can be found here.
WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE TAX IMPACT OF THE LAMAR CISD BOND TO TAXPAYERS?
If approved by voters and with 7% property value growth, the 2022 Bond Package is projected to increase annual property taxes by 1.5 cents on every $100 of taxable property value per year, or $48.75 per year for a $325,000 home.

Morning Drop Off
The safest way to park and walk if on the LMF side is to park along Winston Ranch Parkway just outside of the school zone on the same side of the Adolphus building or along Natchez Crossing St. This will prevent the need for crossing Winston Ranch Parkway at Herons Terrace St. See the image below.
The safest way to park and walk if on the WB side is to park along Prairie Green Ct. on same side of Winston Ranch Parkway.
Doing this prevent the need to cross the very busy Winston Ranch Parkway. :-)
We hope this helps with keep you safe and efficient during your morning drop off routine.
Snacks in the Cafe
No Cash Back
The Child Nutrition department wants to accommodate all food purchases in a timely manner, so they are resuming the “No Cash Back” policy. Your child may pay with cash and the change will be placed into the student's SchoolCafe account. If you need assistance setting up an account, please contact Child Nutrition at 832-223-0180 or go to https://www.schoolcafe.com/.
Rainy Days!
A change was made regarding walk-in pick ups due to safety concerns witnessed during our first rainy day. Parents were running with children between the car rider line from the school to the parking lot in an unsafe manner. Because of this, we will release any walk-in pick ups AFTER the car rider line is complete.
In addition, we are actively seeking a new plan for rainy days. Once we have the plan finalized, we will share it with you. In the meantime, we will continue using the plan below. Let's keep doing some "no rain dances" though!
House Shirts
We discovered that the vinyl on the shirts begins to peel if the shirts are dried on HIGH temperature. Please be mindful of this when drying them.
Below are the dates of our House Days this year. Students should wear their House shirts on these days and may go "all out" with their House colors.
- October 27-Field Day
- November 18-Early Release
- December 16-Early Release
- March 10-Day before Spring Break
- May 25-Early Release
Morning Drop Off
All car rider students must be dropped in the car rider line with safety patrol. If you need to come into the office to speak to someone or drop an item, you will go through the car rider line, drop your child(ren), and then enter the parking lot after students are dropped off. No child will be permitted to cross from the parking lot.
Tips:
- Students should be prepared to exit the car efficiently with backpacks on and all supplies in hand to get out of the car quickly.
- Parents please ONLY TURN RIGHT when exiting the parking lot.
- The car line flows very quickly between 7:00-7:15. Get in line by 7:15 to avoid a tardy.
If everyone does their part, we will be able to get all 950+ students into the building safely before 7:30 every morning!
