That make our life easier
First 3
A lever is a rigid bar that rotates around a fulcrum using effort to make the load move.
The wheel and axle is a small cylinder joined to a large wheel.
An inclined plane is a tilted surface that allows you to move heavy objects up small slopes.
Seesaw
This seesaw is a level 1 lever meaning the fulcrum is in between the load and the effort. There are three levels of levers.
Wheel and Axle
The small cylinder is the axle and the large wheel is obviously the wheel.
Inclined Plane
A normal hill is an inclined plane.
The Final 3
A wedge are 2 inclined planes sandwiched together changing the force form moving downwards to outward.
A screw is a inclined plane that coils around a shaft. It converts rotational motion into linear motion.
Pulley allows a person to change the direction of a force by adding his own weight.
Wedge
This image shows a wedge being used to split wood.
Screw
Just a common screw but it meets our purposes.
Pulley
This shows a man lifting a weight using a pulley.
