Join us for a weekend yoga retreat!
Kate and Amy invite you to take a retreat for all of your senses on their weekend yoga getaway. Rejuvenate your body with soulful yoga classes, renew your taste buds with healthy, local food, and refresh your mind with Tonglen loving kindness meditation and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.
There will be 4 yoga classes offered throughout the weekend. There is truly something for every yogi including candlelight restorative, yin, gentle hatha, and energizing vinyasa. Classes will be taught by either Kate or Amy, and will be accessible for all levels. There will be plenty of hands on adjustments and assists, and every class will end with custom-blended essential oil temple massage during savasana.
Kate will also be offering Thai yoga massage* to anyone who wants to release blocked energy and balance the physical and energetic body. Treatment is given on the mat, on the floor, while the receiver remains fully clothed - no oils are used. Techniques include gently moving or rocking of the body while utilizing thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet, or full body weight to apply pressure.
Let's talk about the food! We will really put the 'eat' in 'retreat' on this yoga getaway, as all meals are included. Spirit Fire retreat center will provide healthy and nourishing food for us, prepared in their own kitchen using only the best local and organic ingredients available. Between meals, coffee and tea are available.
During the day, you will have many options to customize your retreat experience. Spirit fire retreat center sits on 95 acres of forest with plenty of hiking trails to explore. Historic Deerfield is a 30 minute drive from the retreat center if you would like sight see. Throughout the weekend, you will have free range to nap, read, mediate in a mediation hut on the property, or just enjoy the company of others! The yoga room is open for those who might want additional time for their personal practice.
*thai yoga massage has an additional cost, only 5 sessions are available
