Teen Suicide

Between 50,000 and 1 million people attempt suicide each year. Most people who attempt suicide are teens. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for ages 15-24. for ages 5-14 it is the sixth leading cause of death. Teenagers usually experience strong feeling and emotions.

Signs of Suicide

Some signs of suicide are...

  • changing in eating or sleeping habits
  • withdrawal from friends, family, and regular activities
  • violent actions, rebellious behavior, or running away
  • drugs and alcohol use
  • marked personality changes
  • not tolerating praise or reward

How to deal with a friend or family with these signs

if you ever do notice your friend and family member, upset all the time, not eating, not being able to sleep, always talking down. you should try to comfort them and make them feel wanted, and that they are important. also to cherish there life.
