People's Emotions Usually Control How They Act
In the Text, A midsummer night's dream Hermia's emotions clearly controlled the way she acted throughout this text. By disobeying her father, the man who could have her executed if she does not marry who he chooses Which is Demetrius. But Hermia loves Lysander so she plans to run away with him and get married to him outside of Athens. Hermia knows what will happen to her is she is to disobey her fathers orders. Death or a nun. in the text Hermia states "My good Lysander! I swear to by thee by cupids strongest bow,... in that same place thou hast appointed me, tomorrow truly will I meet with thee." This shows that her emotions are so strong for Lysander that she will risk her life for him because she loves him. Love Is The Most Powerful Emotion We Feel
In this play, Midsummer Night's Dream, love is the most powerful emotion Hermia feels. In many ways Hermia shows that she loves Lysander. She is aware that if she doesn't marry Demetrius like her father orders, she could be killed. Instead she goes against her fathers wishes and proceeds to plan to run away with Lysander. One way Hermia shows love is the most powerful emotion she feels she risks her own life by running away with him to get married. A quote that shows this emotion is, "My good Lysander! People's ideas of lovecan, and often do change
In this play Mid Summers Night Dream, peoples ideas of love can and do change. In this story Lysander's love for Hermia would eventually change. Robin, a character in the play squeezes flower juice on his eyelids as he was sleeping and that is equivalent to cupids bow. Robin squeezing this juice on his eyelids caused Lysander to stop loving Hermia and love her best friend Helena. A quote that shows this change in his love is "Transparent Helena! Nature shows art that through thy blossom makes me see thy heart." This quote shows that Lysander now loves Helena. throughout this play I have learned that peoples ideas of love often can and do change.
Conection
Me and Hermia share a few things in common. Like how strong her love is my love is also strong like that. I love very hard and I would be so hurt if something or someone I loved was hurt. Also how she would do anything to be with the person she loves, Lysander. I also would do the same I have disobeyed my mother before to be with the person love. We also have differences, I have never been forced to marry someone or be with someone I didn't want to be with. Also a girl I was dating has never had flower juice poured in there eyelids and started loving my friend.
