Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
Are you a middle level or high school student who's making a difference through volunteering?
Applications are now open for the 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. This award recognizes outstanding young people through their volunteerism. In order to qualify, students must:
- Be in grades 5-12 as of November 6, 2018
- Have participated in a volunteer activity at least in part after September 1, 2017
- Complete and submit an online application by November 6, 2018.

Nebraska 4-H Club/FFA Chapter of the Week
The Midwest Messenger is featuring a new 4-H Club/FFA Chapter of the Week spotlight. Each week, a new club or chapter is highlighted on a sponsored full page display in the paper, featuring a photograph of current members and a brief biography of the club/chapter's history and accomplishments. Finally, to boost their organization's endeavors, the Midwest Messenger is giving each featured group a $50 gift card.
