Do you have coats, that you don’t need anymore?
Winter is here and there are people in our community who could use a nice warm coat. There will be a box available near the cafeteria and office for your gently-used coats from February 1st - 12th. They will be going to Gracie’s Closet, an organization that donates gently used winter clothing for foster and less fortunate kids that are in need of winter clothing, backpacks, and etc...

Jump Rope for Heart
The Annual Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser will be conducted during P.E. classes from February 8th through February 19th, 2016. The Jump Rope for Heart program is sponsored by the American Heart Association and promotes community service while integrating personal fitness. Students learn the seriousness of heart disease and stroke along with the benefits of physical activity. Our Mountain Lions will be jumping at the chance to fight heart disease and stroke by participating in various jump-roping activities during P.E. class. Please support your student’s efforts to collect money to fund cardiovascular disease research and educational programs. Students may participate in the fundraiser by asking family, friends, and businesses to make a donation to the American Heart Association. Donations will be accepted through February 19th, 2016. Check out www.heart.org/jump for information on online donations. Your support of this event is greatly appreciated.
As a Leader in Me school, we want to honor and recognize our students for their amazing leadership skills and positive behaviors. Each week, every classroom teacher will recognize one student who did an exceptional job demonstrating one of our Habits. These students will be recognized on our morning broadcast, a student profile will hang in the café lobby, and a certificate will be sent home. All students for the month will be placed in a container for a drawing at the end of the month. Ten students will be selected to have a special breakfast with Mrs. Angelo and special guests.
