Elementary Media Center
Students have been busy taking tours of the Media Center and checking out books. K-2 students are allowed to keep their library books for 1 week and must bring them to school on checkout day. Your child’s classroom teacher can let you know when their checkout day is.
Grades 3 – 5 can keep their books for up to 2 weeks. Students who finish early may return them early, and arrange with their classroom teacher to come to the Media Center to check out a new book.
The attached document has more specifics about late books and lost or damaged books

Attendance Week: Sept 9-13
We have officially signed-up for the Regional Office of Education’s Attendance Week competition where Lake County Schools compete for the highest attendance rate the week of September 9th. The Attendance Competition promotes improved school attendance at the beginning of the school year, and emphasizes the need to attend regularly to receive full educational benefits. This is in collaboration with Attendance Work’s in promoting Attendance Awareness Month.
We have done well the last few years, but we want to try and be first place this year in Lake County!
