Resources for leaders, like you.
You should go ahead and love yourself.
Leaders need love to! We're not talking about Valentine's Day either, we're talking about self-love. What have you done lately to show yourself that you're amazing? Nothing? Let's fix that.
- Do something fun, but also educational: It's Black History Month and Philadelphia is full of places that celebrate Black history every day, so you're in the perfect to expand your mind and have some fun while you do so. Read Wooder Ice's article about how to celebrate Black History Month.
- Go see the Vagina Monologues: Every year, the Wellness Resource Center hosts the student-directed "Vagina Monologues" based on Eve Ensler's "Vagina Interviews". The show is a series of the human narrative--it's witty, it's fun and it's real. Tickets are $7, the dinner you can buy yourself from the array of food trucks outside of the Student Center should be about $5. So, that means you can take yourself on a date for $12. What. A. Deal.
- Listen to a podcast: This isn't your parents radio. Podcasts have a topic for just about everyone on planet Earth. From politics, to minimalism to education, broaden your horizons, get invested in a story line or figure out how to declutter your life. Insider gives you 13 podcasts you need to listen to, and we agree.

...sometimes confrontation can be good. Simply agreeing with a decision, or "solution" that doesn't sit well with you isn't always the best way to go about things. Margaret Heffernan talks about how to disagree for the sake of making change and bringing about better ideas.
Leadership Principle of the Week: Challenge the Process
In many of our workshops, you here us mention two people Kouzes and Posner. But who are they?
Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner spent a lot of time studying leadership. Thirty years to be exact! They published their book, The Leadership Challenge in 1987 based on their research. The book is centered around their "Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership Model" and they outline how to be a great leader.
