    Final Thoughs from Mrs. Rigsby

This has been a great school year! We enjoyed amazing field trips to Montreat Ropes Course, Biltmore Estate, and Raleigh. We danced at school dances, enjoyed countless musical performances during school assemblies, and got to paint new additions for the NC Mural on the outside of the school. We raised a ton of money for our school during the Fun Run, and collected change for books for kids. We enjoyed Walk To School Day, 2 Book Fairs, International Peace Day, and Dress Like a Book Character Day. We had classroom celebrations and rewards- and really enjoyed earning and spending our red tickets in the stripe store. We worked on computers, iPads, and Chromebooks. We programmed Spheros, learned the basics of coding, and designed our own art on the iPads. My class has worked so hard and made such commendable growth. They took charge of resolving their own conflicts, and channeled their competitive spirit into positive ways. They are goofy and silly and loveable. I will miss them, and look forward to their hugs in the hallway when they are busy 5th Graders! Thank you for your support and words of encouragement this year. You are a great group of parents- and our class couldn't have done it without you. Enjoy your summer!
