Digital Learning Mini Modules
Brought to you by the Digital Learning Department
Online PD Opportunity!!
The Department of Digital Learning is excited to offer mini online modules that will address different tools and strategies for making the move to teaching in a technology-rich environment. These modules will be delivered through Canvas, our district's new learning management system.
During the months of February, and March you will have the opportunity to participate in our mini modules. Each module is considered 2 hours of PD - 1 hour of instruction, and 1 hour of implementation time from which you will submit an artifact. If you complete 5 mini modules this year, you can earn 1 CEU by submitting the form through MyLearningPlan. You may register for as many modules a month as you are comfortable taking. Each module session is limited to the first 20 registrants. See below for registration.
What does a mini module look like?
Modules typically run for two weeks and will take place within our Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas. Each module will consist of one hour of instruction and one hour of implementation. "Instruction" may consist of watching videos online, reading articles, participating in online discussions, etc. For the implementation portion of the class, you are expected to try what you have learned in your classroom with your students. In order to complete a module, you will submit an artifact that shows you used what you learned with your students. Your instructor will give more information about what are acceptable artifacts.
