Current Family Enrollment Process
Hello SJE families,
I am both pleased and excited to announce that Renweb/FACTS online application and enrollment is now officially open.
I have worked hard over the last several weeks to assure that this is the best possible process and experience for you. It is an entirely new process for all, including me. As things come up, and I know they will, I will do my very best to answer questions and smooth out any glitches to the best of my ability.
Current families will NOT need to go through the application process to enroll for the 18-19 school year. Your first step will be to go to Renweb ParentWeb (where you check grades etc) and go to the “family Information” tab and click on the “enrollment/reenrollment” link in the place. If you are a preschool 3 or 4 year old family or you have not yet setup a Renweb account, you’ll need to do that first by going here and creating an account.
Once you’re in, make sure to click link for “current enrollment” and not “new enrollment”. Everything should be fairly self explanatory as you go through it. Make sure to read everything. Many of the forms you used to fill out on paper are now incorporated into enrollment. Some are not. There is a link to those paper forms that will still need to be printed, filled out and turned in to the office prior to school starting.
The enrollment fee has been rolled into the registration fee however the payment plan fee, which is charged by family, not student, is separate and depends on which plan you choose. Both include the incidental billing for various fees like athletics, AGPS book etc. It also allows you to be able to prepay (load) your lunch account next year.
Non-member families applying for the new Outreach (formerly Community) Scholarship will need to complete a FACTS Tuition Assistance application. There should be a link available to you in the enrollment process. The $30 fee to apply is being paid by the school. Applications need to be complete by August 30, 2018.
All tuition, fees owing etc will all be visible to you on your Renweb/FACTS account moving forward. FACTS manages all of the tuition and fees collection. That is not run through the school office any longer. Most questions you have about any of these will need to be directed to FACTS. That doesn’t mean you can’t contact the school office for questions, we may just need to check with FACTS to clarify things.
The new enrollment process doesn’t take into account when you register if you qualify for an SGO, School Choice Scholarship, Active Member Grant, Outreach Scholarship or any other type of assistance. It only looks at gross tuition and fees. The school office will apply those separate from the enrollment process once the necessary paperwork has been completed and been approved. Paperwork for all of those will still need to be filled out and/or applied for separate from enrollment.
Current family registration needs to be completed by May 30, 2018. Any current families registering after this date will be assessed a late fee of $25/child per month. I strongly encourage you to register before then. Doing so helps the school to determine how many textbooks/supplies etc need to be ordered for the next school year.
New families may fill out an application at this time but will not be approved to enroll until May 1st, when new family enrollment opens.
I hope this email brings clarity to the new enrollment process. I tried to touch on and explain each aspect of the new enrollment process. If I have left something out, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
My goal was to make it easier to enroll your child(ren) and pay your tuition, fees and lunch account beginning next year. As I said, I expect some bumps along the way for all of us, but in the long run, I am confident it will be better.
