JUNE 2021 NEWSLETTER
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents & Guardians:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, parents, and staff for all the hard work, dedication and support you give to Caledonia Community Schools. I am really proud of all the work that takes place daily at Kraft Meadows to help our students grow both academically and socially. This year has been like no other we have experienced, but there is so much to celebrate! The end of this school year is very bittersweet for me personally, as all of our students will either be transitioning to Duncan Lake Middle School or Caledonia High School. I am thankful for the relationships that have developed over the years and will miss our students greatly. I hope everyone finds time this summer to relax and can enjoy creating memories with your children. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with great students, parents, and staff on a daily basis. Thanks for entrusting us with your children and for all you do as parents.
Go Scots!

SUPPORT ROOM
The end of the school year is quickly approaching!
Please remind your student to check the lost and found! There are several items that need to go home! All items remaining will be donated on June 11.
We will not keep medication at school over the summer. This includes inhalers and Epi-pens and all OTC and prescription medication.
Please remember to pick up your child’s medication(s) on or before the last day of the school or someone will be available for medication pick up during these times after the end of the school year. If you need to make special arrangements to pick up the medications outside of this time, please call the school prior to the end of the school year to make these arrangements.
Where: Main office/Support Room
When: June 7th-10th Time: 7:30am-2:30pm
We cannot allow your child to bring the medication home (unless noted on consent form as self-carry) or allow anyone but a parent/guardian to pick it up. Many of these medications are expensive and we are required to dispose of any medication that is not picked up, so please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication as soon as possible.
All medications will be disposed of on Friday June 11th.
If you have any questions or concerns or would like us to dispose of your child's medications, please call or email Mrs. Hullinger at 616.891.8649 x2340 or hullingerl@calschools.org

FinalForms will be open for registrations on June 1, 2021 for the 2021-2022 school year. All student-athletes are required to be registered in our online athletic registration program. We are partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students online. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! You will review your information once per school year to verify the information is correct and sign the forms. Please take a moment and sign up your athlete for the upcoming 2021-2022 Sports seasons. Using FinalForms is a one stop shop for the entire registration process. Please use the Athlete Registration link that is provided on the Athletics Homepage and create a new account under the "Parent Login" portion. On the Athletics homepage, you will also see a link for the "Parent Playbook" which gives you step by step instructions through the registration process. You do not need to pay the athletic fee until the season you are registering your athletic for begins. The registration link is: https://caledonia-mi.finalforms.com. All athletes need to have a completed and signed physical form (dated by the doctor after April 15, 2021.
