A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Eagles,

We are excited to welcome you back from what we hope was a wonderful and restful winter break! On Monday, students will access their spring semester schedule by logging into their Homelink account. Paper schedules will not be handed out. Instructions on how a student can access their spring semester schedule were provided in Advisory prior to winter break as well as will be covered again in Advisory this Monday. Students can still view the slide deck by accessing the Advisory google classroom. Additionally, students will have the same advisory teacher for spring semester. As we begin spring semester we will continue to build upon the work that was done in fall semester with our Core Values and Eagle Expectations.

We look forward to all the exciting events and activities (rallys, dances, themed weeks, prom, graduation, etc.) that occur during this semester.

Here’s to a great start!
Go Eagles!
Dan

PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE

On January 9th, 2001, Apple Launches iTunes revolutionizing how people consume music. Along with the iPod, the MP3 player Apple released later in 2001, iTunes revolutionized the music industry, providing consumers with a simple, portable way of listening to a large library of music. Sleek and focused on a simplified user experience, iTunes made it easy for users to burn CDs and to manage digital music files. Apple founder Steve Jobs is credited with iTunes’ success as a music marketplace. Seeing that music was easier to access than ever, but that record labels were losing money due to internet piracy, Jobs made a deal with the five major record labels to sell their content via iTunes. The fact that it was above-board and profitable for the music industry, combined with the cultural cache of its companion product, the iPod, made iTunes an unqualified success.
