A Message from the Franklin Admin
Hello Franklin Families,
Welcome back to the 2020-21 school year! We really miss seeing all of you in person every day! The important thing is to stay healthy, so that one day we will be back together in person at our beloved Franklin Elementary School.
We want to thank everyone for your grace and flexibility as we have gotten the school year underway. This is a school year like no other, and a lot of the planning has been trial and error. We will continue to get better and better, and adjust to whatever changes come our way. We are so proud of the Franklin teachers and students for all that they have already accomplished in just four weeks!
We know how challenging this school situation is for all families - you are juggling work AND being your students’ tech and learning support all day long! We thank you for your patience, your devotion, your flexibility, and your resilience.
We value you as incredibly important partners in making Franklin the best school it can be, and we look forward to working with all of you this year. We hope that you will join the Franklin Family Leadership Team to become a part of our school’s leadership! (see below for 9/9 meeting details)
Thank you again for all that you are doing. Please reach out with any questions or concerns - you can always email us at Franklin@ousd.org.
With gratitude,
Ms. Lai and Ms. Sufrin

i-Ready
i-Ready is a great supplemental learning tool. Its main strength lies in the way it diagnoses students' needs, then targets personalized practice and instruction for each individual. All Franklin students are expected to spend between 45-90 minutes a week on i-Ready.
