Lincoln Technology Club
Learn-Create-Innovate
What is technology club?
Is your son or daughter interested in technology? Do they like to use technology in creative ways? As a parent are you willing to spend up to one hour each week learning about digital citizenship with your child? Then the technology club is for them!
Learn
Students and parents will partake in weekly lessons centered around digital citizenship.
Create
Students will learn how to use technology to create things such as movies, books, and presentations.
Innovate
Students will learn about innovative technology. They will spend time learning how to code using fun interactive games.
Information:
When: Tuesdays 3:45-5:00 starting January 13th through March 3rd 2015.
Who: Due to equipment restrictions we can only allow 15 students from grades 2-4 into the tech club this year. If more than 15 students are interested we will choose students based on the following criteria: teacher recommendation, behavior.
A few things to consider:
- Students should have access to the internet outside of school.
- Parents must be willing to participate at home with their child in weekly online lessons.
- Parent/student will need to have a gmail account. APS is a Google Apps For Education (GAFE) school so students will be learning and using some of the great things Google has to offer.
