Embolization of bone tumors
being first reported in 1975 by Dr. Frieda Feldman a useful treatment in the management of bone tumors. many authors have reported it to be an effective treatment with fast reduction of pain and tumor.
Purpose of embolization
the main purpose or idea of embolization is too occlude as much tumor supply as possible and avoiding normal tissues. Thus the tumor will shrink, bleeding will decrease, borders between the tumor and surrounding tissue will become more clear and resection will be easier.
