The ground is white, there is a chill in the air and December is here…

Volleyball season is now complete and basketball season is getting into full swing with teams participating in practices, games and tournaments. Good luck to all of our players, volunteers and coaches throughout the season!

A reminder that student assessment and attendance information is currently available online through our PowerSchool Parent Portal. This information is updated on an ongoing basis and provides current attendance information along student mark summaries.

Cold and flu season is also now upon us and we ask that you do not send your child to school if they are exhibiting flu-like symptoms. If children are in attendance at school it is our expectation that they are well enough to participate in all regular school day activities including physical education. Students who are not well enough to attend school will not be able to attend extracurricular activities, as it is important for them to rest and recover.

The Christmas concert will be held on December 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm.

Please come and join us for the next Parent Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 10th at 7:00 pm. A google meet link is posted on our New Norway School website calendar for those wishing to join virtually.

Christmas break will take place from December 22 – January 4. There is no school for students during this time and the school will be closed. Classes resume on January 5th

Parents will be contacted by School Messenger if students are absent in Block 1 and Block 5.

Parents please call in your students' absences by 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM to avoid getting these callouts.

End of day calls will continue to come in the early evening.

The elementary and Grade 7 students are busily preparing for our Christmas Concert, on Dec 15 at 6:00 P.M.

Students from kindergarten to Grade 6 are asked to wear cowboy clothes or the girls can wear dresses.

Students in the Grade 7 Band are asked to wear black pants or skirt and a white shirt or top.

We are excited to see you at "Christmas at the O.K. Corral"!
