The story line

  1. Shy San Francisco teenager Mia Thermopolis is thrown for a loop when, from out of the blue, she learns the astonishing news that she's a real-life princess! As the heir apparent to the crown of the small European principality of Genovia, Mia begins a hilarious adventure toward the throne.

The book

Through the book is a continuous journey of Mia's life in a diary form. She talks about her life and issues of being an awkward teenager.

I really enjoyed this book because the way the author has described the character I felt I could get a vivid image of the character in my head.

I would totally read this again.

Funny quotes I have found

Queen Clarisse Renaldi: Amelia, you look so... young.

Mia: Thank you. And you look so...

[long pause]

Mia: ... clean.

Mia: Okay... you know what? I don't feel protected. You try living for 15 years thinking that you're one person, and then in five minutes, you find out you're a princess. Just in case I wasn't enough of a freak already, let's add a tiara!
