ISIS is a terrorist group that lies in the middle east of Syria.
What is their goal?
They claim religious, political and military authority over all Muslims. To make the world a Muslim place.
James Foley
James Foley was from Rochester, New Hampshire and was captured in 2012 at the age of 40.
He was tortured for two years before being waterboarded then beheaded on camera in 2014.

Isis claimed they were willing to sell James Foleys body for $1 million. They would even provide DNA sample but would need money first.
Steven Sotloff
He was captured with two of his guides. The Isis men took the three men to a textile factory. His guides were released but they kept him. After a year they killed him.

A letter written by Steven was released about a month after he was killed. The letter was written for his mother by Steven but was possibly written by isis people. It was smuggled out of Syria and was read at Stevens funeral.

Kenji Goto
Had a Wife and two daughters. Felt he needed to go to Syria. Kenji wanted to make a difference in the world. He thought since he wasn't British or american he would be safer.
