A Note From Principal Cline
Dear Charger Family,
Please make sure that your students are taking advantage of the live Zoom Sessions available with instructors. The schedule is linked below and we have added times for Ms. Sartin and Ms. Ledford who both work with our EC Program.
I would like to recognize CMVHS parent extraordinaire, Ms. Cassandra Suber, who has stepped up to lead our PTA this year. She is planning some exciting opportunities for your involvement and we welcome any level of participation you can offer. Simply joining our PTA and attending meetings as you are able provides a great positive impact. You can join the CMVHS PTA here: https://cmvh.memberhub.com/store.
We continue to appreciate your support and patience as we work to increase staffing to catch up with our explosive student growth. I have some very exciting news which is that we have three new highly skilled and talented teachers (1 EC, 1 English and 1 Social Studies) who have accepted positions and we look forward to their introductions to the CMVHS family in the near future. We continue to aggressively recruit top talent to join our outstanding team.
Our School Improvement Team is searching for parent representatives for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. This would entail a 60-90 minute monthly commitment to help us steer our School Improvement Plan. Your input as a parent representative is essential to our planning and strategy! If you have an interest in one of these positions, please email me directly at john1.cline@cms.k12.nc.us.
We cannot reiterate enough the importance of a quality remote learning space in your home for your CMVHS student. Here is an article that you may find helpful and know that any of our staff members are available for consultation on creating or improving the remote workspace for your child. Our team has worked with countless families in a variety of spaces to help give ideas and feedback to maintain a spot that best supports student success. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at any time.
Have a wonderful weekend and Remember, It’s Always a Great Day to be a Charger!
John

EC Support/Office Hours
Good Afternoon CMVHS Students,
We are reaching out to update you on some zoom sessions that we have scheduled to support you. We have heard from many of you with questions, and most of you have probably all realized by now that Ms. Stoll no longer works with CMVHS, but she will be listed as your Learning Lab teacher until a replacement is hired.
In the meantime, Ms. Ledford and I have scheduled time on Thursday and Friday of this week, and next week to be available to help you with questions you may have. We will not be adding any additional assignments into the Learning Lab canvas course until a permanent teacher is hired, so if you need support in a specific area, please hop on one of these zoom sessions with us. The sessions are not required-just an option if you need specific support at this time.

“Finally Friday!” Staff Appreciation
Due to the sudden increase in student enrollment at CMVHS this school year, the demands on our small staff are unprecedented. We’d love to show our gratitude and support by providing meals, snacks, gift cards, experiences or other tokens of appreciation on the 4th Friday of each month. We have a staff of less than 20 currently. A personal acknowledgment and thank you to each family/families or corporate sponsor will be displayed at each event and in our PTA communications.
