About Me!
My name is Jordan Babcock and I have the pleasure of being your child's teacher for this school year. I am so excited to see where this year takes us and for all the exciting stuff we are going to learn! I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Elementary Education in 2016. First grade is my favorite grade to teach because of the fun subject material I get to teach. I like to read in my spare time and I hope to bring that love of reading to all of your students by the end of this year. I cant wait for an awesome school year!
Our Class Rules!!!!
As a class on the first day we came up with these different rules to follow.
1.We will always be respectful to our classmates and Ms. Babcock.
2. We will always turn our work in on time.
3. We will always listen to instructions.
4.We will always treat others the way we want to be treated.
5. We will always try our best.

OPEN HOUSE
I am always so excited for Open House because it is a chance for me to be able to meet all of you and for all of my students to be able to show off all the hard work they do every day in the classroom. Our first open house will be on November 17th, 2017 from 7-9pm. I will have all of your students' work displayed around our classroom and I will be there to be you all as well. Feel free to bring your child as well so they can show off all their hard work! I look forward to seeing you all there! :)
Our Underwater Week
This week in class our focus will be on different marine animals. We will be working on identifying different underwater creatures as well as improving our literacy by reading marine themed books. We will also have a math lesson that will involve counting whales and learning how to use coins to buy different fish in the pet store. I am very excited for this unit and I am sure your children will love it as well!
