Adaptations
Can we find adaptions in nature?
Vascular Plants
- contain xylem and phloem
- xylem carries water up
- phloem carries water and nutrients both ways
- Mostly larger plants
Nonvascular Plants
- smaller than vascular
- get water through capillary action
- Ex. mosses, hornworts, liverworts
Angiosperms
- Flowering plant
- Stamen=pollen
- pistil=egg
Gymnosperms
- conifers/evergreen
- reproduce with cones (naked seeds)
- ex. Pine, spruce
fungi
- cell wall made if chitin
- mostly found as white threads
- seen as mushrooms when they reproduce
