#ReadersAreLeaders (The 5)
These next two weeks we will have shortened class periods to allow for ample time for state testing. The best "down time" you can do with your child is to encourage free read or even read with your child! Learning never stops and as much reading as you can encourage will reap results! #ReadToMe
Notes from Ms. Raeburn (The 10)
#ProjectLevelUP
We are ready to show what we know on GMAS! Our teachers have worked hard to deliver amazing, engaging experiences for our scholars and our scholars have been dedicated to learning!
We feel good about the changes in the schedule that we made in an effort to make sure everyone was fresh and ready for testing! We will have 10 full days of testing with some make-up days added in the end.
8th graders who do not pass, will be recommended for remediation and remediation summer school for the retest. Those dates are:
May 28th - June 2nd remediation
June 4th - June 7th Testing
Stay tuned for information for rising 8th graders as it relates to summer opportunities for remediation.
We will have every scholar tested in the morning and we will be able to resume regular classes by noon each day.

Our scholars who earned a Proficient and/or Distinguished rating on last year's GMAS enjoyed their celebrations this week. It is our hope to double our number of scholars who get to participate in this new tradition!
We LOVE our Teachers!
Teacher Appreciation week begins Monday May 7th! Please show your teacher how much you appreciate them for all they do by sending it them a note! Sharing how much you appreciate what they have done for you and your child is a simple act of kindness that fills the heart! Let's shower our amazing, ELITE teachers with cards and notes that whole week!
Thank you for being proactive and for supporting our school and our passion work! I am proud to be your principal and would love to hear from you!
