News from 3rd Grade
Ms. Doerr's Room
Off And Running!
It's been a busy first six days! Many kids have made the transition from 2nd to 3rd grade easily. Being a 3rd grader comes with a lot more responsibility. The students are responsible for filling out their assignment notebook daily and having an adult sign it. There is a long list of independent tasks to complete each morning. And...each student has a classroom job to perform daily for money!
Please have a discussion at home about the responsibilities of a 3rd grader.
These are the classroom guidelines we agreed upon as a class!
Look What We're Learning!
Math: using different strategies, math note-booking, sequencing, number grid puzzles
Inquiry: collaboration and critical thinking practice
Writing: topic selection, stamina
Reading: choosing books, stamina, getting minds ready to read

Arden creating a Lego house using her own strategy.
Brody, Aadian, Jaylen, Paisley and Nick using collaboration to build a Lego house.
Aleigha, Evan, Kyler, Avary, Bryce, and Alivia collaborating to complete a Pokemon hunt throughout the library. Each Pokemon found gave them an answer about library procedures. The kids loved it!
Mrs. Garrett gave us all fuzzies to remember to be kind to each other.
