This week, we will begin studying the Age of Jackson. The students will learn about the presidency of Andrew Jackson, the Monroe Doctrine, Jacksonian Democracy, Indian Removal and the growth of States’ Rights.
While studying the Age of Jackson, I have decided to give the students a break from traditional worksheets, quizzes, and tests. This activity uses material from the old textbook. The students will have access to a hard copy in school and I will post a pdf version in Google Classroom. The Google Slides project will count as a test grade and is worth 70 points. There will be ample class time to work on this activity. Any work that is not finished in class should be completed for homework.
Please check Google Classroom or Infinite Campus for missing work.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me via email: lucasj@eht.k12.nj.us

Mr. Czikowsky: ELA week of 4/29/24
This week in ELA, in addition to testing, students will begin working on their final book club project: a book poster. The kids will design a poster advertising their book club book to future readers, and include a number of details and activities that include theme, characterization, and setting. Students will then present their poster to the class next week.
