Jupiter has nearly 2.5 times the mass of all the other planets combined.
It takes approximately 11.86 earth years to orbit the sun.
It is a gas planet but its core is solid. Its magnetic field is 2.5 times stronger than Earth's. Its gravity is twice as strong.

Breaking news! Breaking news! Jupiter has rings. This was discovered by the probe Voyager 1 in 1979. It's biggest ring is 4350 miles wide but only 18 miles thick.
The great red spot is a storm which is bigger than Earth. Even the smallest storms on Jupiter are as big as the biggest hurricanes on Earth.
Even at its faintest it is still brighter than Sirius, the brightest star in the sky.
Moons
Jupiter has 63 moons. The four moons you can usually see are Europa, Io, Ganymede and Callisto.
There might be alien life on Europa because underneath the ice there may be an ocean which is bigger than all the Earth's oceans combined.
