Grade 6
As we begin a new marking period, students are reminded to stay focused on their school work and continue to put forth the effort they did the first two marking periods. This month the sixth graders will be focusing on the benefits of effective organization and test taking skills. My goal is to have students apply these skills to their school work. Spring is almost here!
Grade 7
Seventh graders are in the home stretch! The third trimester has begun and June will not be far behind. This month students will take part in a Guidance lesson focusing on goal setting. Students will set attainable personal and academic goals and even brainstorm a career goal!
Students are reminded that good attendance is essential to their learning. Parents are routinely contacted regarding students with attendance concerns. Attendance meetings with administration and parents are required when absences are excessive. School Counselors are available to support students who have difficulty attending school regularly.
