Book Review by Alexis Heffner
I loved this book. It takes place in the Oria province, on Mapletree Borough (until the officials tear down the maple trees and name it Garden Borough). The main character Cassia is a teenager who is starting her life. She just found out who her match is and she's starting to find out what her job will be. Her match Xander is a great guy. They've been best friends since they were little. Then there's Ky. Ky is an aberration, so he can't be matched with anyone. Cassia is in love with both of them and has to choose who she wants to be with.
Matched isn't just a romantic book, it also has mystery and suspense. It shows the internal struggle Cassia has to choose who she wants to be with. If she chooses Xander she might miss out on true love. On the other hand if she chooses Ky, her whole life could change. He could be sent away, and she could become an aberration. It could also affect her family. I think this would be a good book for a girl, since most of it is about her love life.
What if you could only be with the person you love for a couple hours a week? The only time the main character, Cassia, can be with the person she loves is when they go hiking. Even then they have to be careful that no one finds out there together.
Cassia is in love with two people. One makes her feel alive and she lights up everytime there together. The other has been there for her, her whole life, and she cant imagine life without him.
It's hard being in love with someone you can't be with. Cassia is in love with Ky, but if she is with him her whole life could change. Everything and everyone she loves could be taken away from her.
