Welcome to Ben Hopkins, our new part-time EC teacher. Ben recently worked at JS Waters and is returning from a short stint in Michigan.

Allen and Sons-Monday

Its PHS day at Allen and Sons. If grade levels can order as one and have the money up to the office by 10:30am on Monday, we will get the food ordered and have the PTA pick up food orders by 11:15am.


We will have PLCs next week with coverage by instructional assistants. Grade level chairs are responsible for planning and placing the agenda and notes in the shared folder. Agendas are due in the shared folder by Monday 4pm.

Make up pictures-Wednesday

Make up pictures will be taken on Wednesday.


The MTAC committee will be meeting on Wednesday in the Media Center.

STEM Committee-Thursday

STEM committee will meet on Thursday in Ms. Sevelovitz room. We will be finalizing items for the STEM Fair. National Engineer's Week will be our next event.

Turkey Trot-Friday

The Turkey Trot will be held on Friday.

MTSS training-Friday

The MTSS team will be out for a training Friday afternoon beginning at 12 noon.

Lesson plans and Walk throughs

I plan to check plans and get back to walk throughs.

Wellness Challenge

Don't forget to sign up for the staff wellness challenge. I am looking for some competition from this staff.


Please make sure you are sending the letter home when parents report that their child has lice.

Peer Observations

Please don't forget to complete peer observations before December 4th.


EVAAS Data is available for all teachers kindergarten-fifth grade teachers in reading and math for third-fifth grade teachers. If you need help looking up your data please let me know I will be glad to help. If you have any questions before I get a chance to touch base with you please feel free to call or email me. I will be starting mid year PDP discussions with beginning teachers in December.

STEM Boards

The boards for the STEM Fair are located in the Discovery Lab. Please only take what you need when you need it.

Nov. 23rd PLC

I am planning to meet with all grade levels on November 23rd as the principal PLC for half of the planning time. No coverage will be provided by instructional assistants.

Ipad cart

The ipad cart is ready to be checked out through me. There are 10 ipads and 10 ipad minis on the cart. If you check out ipads you will need to check out the entire cart. The carts should can be checked out for up to a week. The apps on the ipads at this time are:

December Staff Meeting

he December staff meeting will feature training provided by Cheryl Fuller. Please make plans now to stay until 5:30pm that day. Staff meeting will be held on December 1st.


Great News! We are seeing the results of your efforts with Reading Rocks as the curtains are now in the Multipurpose Room. Below are the expectation for the curtains that will transform our MPR into a performing arts area.

1. MPR curtains should only by teachers or under the direct supervision of a Perry Harrison staff member.

2. No drinks or snacks allowed near the stage area.

3. No throwing of balls or other projectiles near the stage area.
