The overall proposed tax increase is for an additional $294,629. Breaking that number down into costs for the district:
- $73,581 - is for the Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund (QCPUF) - the district has been levying less than the debt payment for the last several years. This tax increase brings the tax request back to the minimum debt payment.
- $184,072 - Salary Increases, cost of insurance, etc.
- $36,976 - Increased cost of fuel/supplies, etc.

- East Butler School Board Meeting - 6:30 pm - Brainard School Library (The purpose of this meeting will be to consider the approval of the proposed budget and tax request)

The East Butler Public School District's Budget Hearing took place prior to the September 13th board meeting. The Tax Asking hearing will take place as part of the joint hearing on September 19th, at 7:00 p.m. - David City Auditorium lower level.
