Math, Fundations, & Reading

In Math, we are continuing to work with addition. You can find some online resources below for students to practice their basic addition facts. Additionally, your child has been working on MobyMax in school. MobyMax is targeted instruction on your child's level and is a great tool to practice math concepts. The students were also very excited to learn a new game called "Bump It". I have attached the game in the email you received so please check your email for an attachment.

In Fundations, we have been learning about digraphs and blends. Below there is a link to practice these skills on SpellingCity.

In guided reading, we have been learning many comprehension strategies (such as retelling, checking for understanding, and comparing and contrasting) as well as accuracy strategies. Your child should be coming home with books that we have previously read together in class. Make sure that your child is reading every night. If you are looking for additional resources for books, you can access the Journey's Leveled Readers online. Once you arrive on the website, the books are categorized by different shapes (circle- below grade level; diamond- on grade level; triangle- above grade level).

As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions that you may have.

Thank you!
