Seguin Elementary School

This Week:

Literacy: We will describe characters in a story and use adjectives to describe characters.

Writing: We will write a story using a beginning, middle, and end to publish a final draft.

Math: We will collect data, sort and organize data and display it using tally marks and graphs.

Social Studies: We will continue our unit on our World and focusing on maps, directions, and locations.

Science: We will learn about how water is useful in our everyday lives.

New Spelling Pattern:

5 words will come from the 'ea' spelling pattern and 5 more words will come from long vowels. (2 long a words, 1 long i word, 1 long u word, and 1 long o word).

December 10 - Virtual Field Trip to Hawaii! Wear a Hawaiian shirt as we tour Hawaii with 6th graders.

*Reading Homework: One Breath Boxes and read for 20 minutes per night, please sign your child's reading log. :)

*Math Homework: Addition with doubles, for example 2 + 2 = 4 or 6 + 6 = 12
