Stress Less Fest
Join us for the Stress Less Fest during finals Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Destress at various stations in the commons, lecture hall, and the gym lobby. Enjoy board games, art stations, sensory stations, corn hole, aroma therapy, wii games, and a hot chocolate bar!! Any donations made at the hot chocolate bar will go towards mental health awareness and through our GEHS Blazers Helping Blazers mental health club.

Cocoa & Cram
Link Crew and Student Council are teaming up to host the annual Cocoa & Cram study session. It will take place on Monday, Dec. 16th from 3:30 - 6:30pm.
You can study with friends, tutors/teachers or in a quiet environment. Hot Cocoa and snacks will be provided!
Yearbook and Senior Ads
The first deadline for Sr. Ads have past and the second is quickly approaching. The next deadline to submit an ad is Dec. 20. There will be a senior ad design night on Dec. 16 and Dec. 18 from 4pm-8:30pm in room 316. If you would like help designing your ad, please attend one of those meetings. Bring your form, message, photos and payment and leave with your ad ready to print. See attachment for submitting guidelines and pricing or stop by the office and grab a form.
Blazer Basketball
Monday, the A-team boys played hard, but had too many turnovers costing the blazers the game 47 to 43. Landon Comstock led the team in scoring with 9. The B team fell behind early 8 - 0, but came storming back with 13 unanswered shots of their own and held a solid lead for most of the game and walked away with a victory 46 to 44. Evan Norris dominated the paint with 12 pts. and Grayson Wroten running the show - also with 12 pts.
The Lady Blazers took on Blue Valley Southwest Friday and fell short, walking away with a loss of 45-33. Kaylah Newman and Kiersten Markos both took 2 charges and Sadie Watkins was the leading re-bounder.
The Lady Blazers took to the court again Monday against DeSoto Wildcats falling short with a score of 37-55. The Blazers were led by Kaylah Newman and Sofia Semon.
The Freshman girls, walking away with a heartbreaking loss to Olathe South Wednesday, after Ava Blanton hit a three to tie up the game but due to a foul at the end with 1 second left, Olathe sank 2 free throws for the win.
Blazer Wrestling
Girls Wrestling battled at Fort Osage Girls Scramble. Each girl was able to have 2 matches apiece. In their 2nd meet of the season, GEHS brings home the team title with 102 pts, followed by Stanley with 84 pts.
Keeping You In The Know
The Tale Blazer, a literary journal created by GEHS students, needs your submissions! We are looking for short stories, essays, poetry, song lyrics etc to fill our pages. You may have your submission printed anonymously if you’d prefer. See Mrs. Heller in room 309 or join our Google classroom page at k3iaou for more information!
GEHS is participating in the Narrative High School Short Story Contest. The theme this year is "Choice" Join Google classroom k3iaou for more information. Stories are due 2/1/2020.
Culver's Dinner Night for GEHS Band - The Culver's on 151st is hosting a GEHS Band Night on 12/18/19. If you are looking for a night out with the family, print the attached flyer and support the band.
