Notes from the Principal
Recently, we have noticed an increase in tardies in the morning. Please note that school begins at 8:00am. Instruction actually begins at that time. We need all of our students in class and ready to learn by 8:00.
We recognize that our car rider line can be long in the morning. We start unloading cars between 7:35-7:40. We work as quickly as we can to unload cars in a safe and efficient manner. If you arrive to the parking lot after 8:00, you will need to get out of your car and come in to sign your child in. The breakfast line closes at 8:15, so students who arrive after that time will not be able to get breakfast.
Students who are chronically late are at a big disadvantage and at a greater risk of failing in school. We need your help in making sure that all of our Armadillos are at school on time.
Having said all of this, please do NOT drop your child off in front of the school before Moore staff is outside for car rider duty. We have had a lot of students dropped off early and it is not safe for them to be outside unsupervised.
Thank you for your help with this.

Lunch Visitors Guidelines
We are very happy that we have parent lunch visitors back! Please make sure to read the guidelines for lunch visitors below.
1. A student may only have ONE visitor at a time (please do not bring younger siblings)
2. A student may only have one visitor per week
3. Please do not bring anything other than lunch (no decorations, balloons, table settings, etc.)
We have over 1000 students this year at Moore and our cafeteria seating is very limited. Thank you for helping us by following these procedures.
Thank you for helping us with this practice.

Moore Elementary Parent Handbook
Daily Health Self Screening
- Daily Health Self-Screening - Parents must screen students daily (prior to entering a school bus or school) for the following signs and symptoms of COVID-19:
1. Are you experiencing any of the following in a way that is not normal to you?
• Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.00 F
• Loss of taste or smell
• Difficulty breathing
• Shortness of breath
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Shaking or exaggerated shivering
• Significant muscle pain or ache
• Nausea or vomiting
2. Have you had known close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
Students must stay home if they answer “yes” to any of the above. Any student who tests positive for COVID-19 and has been on campus for class or an extracurricular activity must report the test results to the campus nurse.
Remember an adult MUST be at the bus stop at the end of the day to receive any PK, Kindergarten or 1st grade student. The driver will not release them from the bus if an adult is not present.
