Nov. 8 Bond Passage Qualifies PLSD for ~$75 Million in OFCC Funds
Passage of the November 8 bond issue will enable Pickerington Schools to nearly double the money spent on our schools — for free! In addition to building a new junior high and adding classrooms to both high schools, with bond passage the district will qualify for approximately $75 million in future funding from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. These funds can be used to address future capital needs in our schools. Community approval of the bond issue will help PLSD and its students for years to come! Learn more about the bond issue on the district's website. And, don’t forget that the voter registration deadline is Oct. 11. Information about registering to vote and how to vote is available at: www.VoteOhio.gov.
Wear your Dots....International Dot Day is Thursday September 15
International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration, began when teacher Terry Shay introduced his classroom to Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot on September 15, 2009.
The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.
Sept 19th - 23rd DISTRICT WIDE START WITH HELLO WEEK AT SCE!!
Start with Hello teaches students, grades K-12, the skills they need to reach out to and include those who may be dealing with chronic social isolation and create a culture of inclusion and connectedness within their classroom, school or youth organization.

School Lunch and Breakfast
Please remember to send money or put money on your child's lunch account. The cost of school lunch each day is $3.25. The grant that provided free school lunch for all students the last two years has expired, so unless you have completed the form and qualify for a free or reduced lunch, your child's account is charged $3.25 each time they eat a school lunch. If you send money with your child, be sure it is in an envelope with their name on it. If you wish to apply money to your child's account you can do so at this link: https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome
Please Stay Off of Playground Before School
We would like to remind everyone students are not permitted to play on the playground equipment before the start of school. This has become a growing concern. Even if you are accompanying your student, it is not permitted. There are too many students that are unsupervised before the school day, and we are trying to make sure all students are safe while waiting for school to start. We appreciate your cooperation.
Panorama Survey is Coming
The Panorama Survey will be given to all third and fourth grade students in the upcoming weeks. Please read the attachment below for more information.
