Message from Superintendent Elstad
It’s hard to believe that the last day of school is already next week on Thursday, June 6. The end of a school year provides a time to reflect, learn and celebrate the growth we have achieved as a school district.
I am proud of the work and progress we have made over this school year. I am even more proud of our students and staff in their efforts to improve every day. I am, and will be always be, invigorated and excited to continue our work together in building a better tomorrow and a better Owatonna.
As we move into summer break, many community events have been scheduled to engage our community in continuing this work together. Two of these events are listed within this newsletter and additional events will be added in the near future.
I hope everyone has a wonderful summer break and I hope to see you at one of our upcoming community events.

Join us for a three-part series of conversations and reflection on what it means to make Owatonna a safe, welcoming and cohesive community for people from all walks of life. If you call Owatonna or the surrounding area home, this is for you and your family. Conversations will be interactive to open dialogue and will cultivate understanding around who we are as a community.
