How to Conserve Water in your Life

Hi my name is Alvin, and I am going to start by giving 7 facts about water.
1.30% of fresh water is in the ground.
2.1.7% of the world’s water is frozen and therefore unusable.
3.Approximately 400 billion gallons of water are used in the United States per day.
4.Nearly one-half of the water used by Americans is used for thermoelectric power generation.
5.In one year, the average American residence uses over 100,000 gallons (indoors and outside).
6.Water can dissolve more substances than any other liquid including sulfuric acid.
7.The freezing point of water lowers as the amount of salt dissolved in at increases. With average levels of salt, seawater freezes at -2 °C (28.4 °F).2
In your house
There are many ways that you can save water. You can start in your very home. Turn off your water tap when you don't need it, wash cloths in cold water and only wash full loads, take showers for only 5 or less min, and don't flush the toilet when not needed. These are just a couple of ways you can save water in your house.
If you work out and you like to drink a lot of water you must not use plastic water bottles. You can use reusable water bottles when you go to the gym.
What you drink in
Did you know that you could save water by what you drink in. This Is by using reusable water bottles, for example you can use a "Brita" bottle because, it has a filter in the bottle itself so your drinking water can be clean.
