COVID Contact
As questions arise about the policies and procedures that we have put in place due to COVID-19, we wish for our parents to have a point of contact for their questions. For the upcoming year, our nurse, Shayna Elmore, will be available full-time during the school day. She will be our school’s COVID Contact. Please direct your COVID-related questions via email to clinic@ckslex.org or call (859) 266-5641.
If you have any questions about whether your child can be in attendance, please reach out to Nurse Elmore, our COVID contact. It is of utmost importance that we maintain the health and safety of our school community.
If your child is in isolation or quarantine, please contact Nurse Elmore, so that we can ensure that students can continue learning via the hybrid plan if they are well enough to do so. Her contact information is clinic@ckslex.org
Daily Prescreening
Parents will need to fill out this pre-screening form daily with respect to their children who attend Christ the King School. You may submit this either the evening before your child(ren) will attend class on campus, or in the morning before bringing your child(ren) to school; HOWEVER, if you submit this form the evening before and circumstances change between then and the morning, you should resubmit and take action accordingly. A SYMPTOMATIC CHILD, OR ONE WITH A TEMPERATURE OF 100.4° OR ABOVE, SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL.

Bike Riders
If your child rides their bike to school, please note that they will use the Cochran Rd. crosswalk for morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Students should walk their bike through the crosswalk, on the sidewalk and to the bike rack that is located by the gym entrance. Bike riders will NOT be dismissed until the afternoon carline has completely cleared. If you wish for your child to be a bike rider, please fill out a Bike Rider Permission Slip.

Growing Peaceful Families
Dear CKS Families,
We are so very blessed to be able to offer an evening with Dr. Lesley Iwinski, CTK parishioner and former CKS parent, next Thursday, September 17 at 7:00 via Zoom. Dr. Iwinski is a medical doctor and the founder of Growing Peaceful Families(https://growingpeacefulfamilies.com). Helping families is her passion, and the focus of the Zoom session will be Making Your Home a Sanctuary in Times of Stress. I know I will be joining this session ready to take some notes!
Dr. Iwinski would like to know if you have particular questions or concerns that she can plan to address in the meeting. If you email me those questions or thoughts, I will share with her right away so that she can prepare accordingly.
If you know that you will be attending, please let me know that as well, so that she will have an idea of how big the crowd will be. Hope to see you there!
Thank you,
Christine Gibson

Leadership, Teamwork & Life Skill Lessons For Your Child Sign Up For Cub Scouts Pack 93
Scouting has a strong tradition at Christ the King Cathedral. In the midst of a global pandemic and unique challenges, the value of scouting is as important as ever. Scouting helps teach students about leadership, citizenship, personal fitness, resiliency, duty to God and helping others.
Cub Scouts is for boys in grades 1st to 5th grade. It is a minimal time commitment, usually just two hours per month. The cost is $100 for the year for all Scout activities. This covers Pack and national dues. If you would like to sign up or learn more, please contact Brant Welch, Pack 93 Cubmaster, at brant.welch@gmail.com or call (859) 806-3417.
Each grade will have activities within its own den grade. We do need volunteer Den leaders for the 1st and 2nd grade groups. This is usually just two hours of your time per month. Interested volunteers can contact Brant Welch.
We have lots of fun with adventures and making friends. Activities planned for this year include a visit to the Frankfort Salato Wildlife Trails, special guest speakers, tours, special projects for senior citizens and more.
Pack 93 Cub Scouts is following national and state guidelines this year to ensure the safety of participants. Our events are being planned to adhere to specific guidelines.
