A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week Of October 29, 2018

Attendance

This week Grant school was awarded over $3,000 for its excellent attendance record last school year! We would like to thank you for having your students attend school each day and putting in the effort to be present.

Petaluma City School District is allocated funds for each student for every day that he or she is present at school. Your student's strong attendance not only supports their learning and development, but it also ensures that our district has the best possible funding to support all of its programs, facilities, and the ability to retain qualified staff members. Thank you for all that you do to encourage strong attendance at Grant!

Huge Jog-a-Thon Success!

Thank you all SO very much for your incredible fundraising for the Jog-a-Thon! We have far surpassed our goal of raising $35,000 and have reached a total of $41,000! Thank you for going out of your way to reach out to loved ones, co-workers and into your own pockets to contribute so much to Grant. Our school is so fortunate to have such generous and committed community and we appreciate your generosity.

Halloween Costumes Tomorrow!

In years past, we have asked students to bring their Halloween costumes to school and change into them during lunchtime. This year we invite Grant students to wear their Halloween costumes to school. They may bring school-appropriate masks and accessories with them for the parade. Please remember to save all costume weapons, gory masks, and fake blood for the evening festivities.

Grant Halloween Parade, Wednesday, 10/31 *New Time This Year*

The beloved annual Grant Halloween Parade is tomorrow! Students will gather on the blacktop around 10:45 (*Note the time change this year as it's an early release day) on 10/31 and a few minutes later they'll proceed through the neighborhood, coming back through the front of the school. Parade route below. *Please, no swords, guns or fake blood.
