Thank You Teachers! The week of May 1st & May 5th is Teacher Appreciation Week. Our Teachers are the best and we are excited to lift them up and celebrate their great accomplishments this year! | STAAR Testing MES will have math STAAR testing on May 9th & May 10th. The campus will be closed to visitors on these days. | 4th grade fieldtrip 4th grade will be celebrating the end of the year with a fieldtrip to Urban Air on Thursday, May 18th. Please be watching your child's Tuesday folder for more information. |

Let's Celebrate our Kids! May 22nd - Kinder promotion at 9:00 a.m. May 22nd - 1st grade awards at 2:00 p.m. May 23rd - 2nd grade awards at 9:00 a.m. May 23rd - 3rd grade awards at 2:00 p.m. May 24th - 4th grade awards at 9:00 a.m. | Early Release is 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 25th Our last day of school will be an early release day. We will celebrate with a fun day of rotating stations sponsored by our amazing PTO. | Does your child have medication in the nurse's office? Please remember to pickup any medications your child may have in the nurses office. Any meds not collected after May 25th at noon will be thrown away. |

Counselor Corner May's focus is to be a great thinker and a hard worker. Throughout the year we focus on the importance of brain storming and problem solving. Let's continue to use the strategies we have learned this year to finish strong. | Don't forget to register Kinder and Pre K for 23-24 We are still registering Kinder and Pre K. Please make sure you register before June 1st. Don't forget that shots will need to be updated before completing registration. | IDs are always required at MES You must present your ID when coming onto our campus for lunch and when picking up a student for a leave early. |

| Let's Wave Out Our Seniors and 4th grade Students We will have a ceremonial walk for our past MES students and our 4th graders who will be leaving us for new adventures on Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. |
Dress Code
Please remember dress code this time of year:
- Student shorts-mid thigh
- Student shirts- covering mid drift
- Hair color - must be a natural hair color
Absent Notes
Be sure to turn in absence notes when your child is out. There are several ways to do this:
- Students can bring parent/doctor notes to the front office
- Parents can email the notes to MESAttendance@magnoliaisd.org
- Parents can fax the notes to (281)252-2150
- Doors open at 7:45 AM. Students are tardy after 8:30 AM.
