Cougar Chronicles
March 18, 2022
Dear LSE Family,
My whole heart is full! Our students did an amazing job performing for an actual live audience for our Spring Fine Arts Night this past Tuesday! Thank you to all of our families who came out to see what a talented group of young performers we are developing here at LSE! I cannot wait to see the places they go as they continue to hone their love of music!
Please make sure you stay up to date on our events and calendar as you will not want to miss our events! Family Math Night with a free family dinner and lots of give aways is in April, a completely free all school PTA carnival is the end of April, and our Multicultural night is in May! Get those RSVP's into the office for Family Math Night so we can make sure and get the right amount of food ordered!
Please don't forget that school is not in session March 20-25th for Spring Break! The weather is supposed to be more spring like - hey at least no snow! Get outside and soak up some Vitamin D! Fourth quarter is here and will be a busy one so please make sure you read communication from the building and from your child's teacher to stay up to date on happenings at LSE!
We look forward to seeing everyone!
Much Love,
Mrs. Sanders, Principal

WE NEED YOUR HELP GETTING STUDENTS TO SCHOOL DAILY AND ON TIME!
Please work to get your children to school on time and get them to school each day! When students are late or miss school all together, they miss valuable instruction time. Students can enter the building at 8:10 each morning. They are considered tardy at 8:25. We really need your help in getting your children to school on time. This helps get their day started off in a positive way. Most of our classroms start the day with a short family meeting to discuss current events, social emotional well skills, or classroom expectations. They move right into instruction of math or reading immediately. It is imperative your children are at school on time!
WE KNOW TIMES ARE HARD FOR SOME OF OUR FAMILIES! USE OUR PANTRY!
Did you know LSE has a food pantry and clothing closet? Last year we collaborated with our district facilities department and the Summit Church to convert one of our storage rooms into this space! This fall the Summit Church built us an amazing shelving system for shoes, clothes and coats so that we could stay organized!
If you have needs for winter coats, jackets, shoes, socks, or clothing, please do not hesitate to reach out to our front office! We can schedule a time for you to come in through our gym door and help you find what you need!
We also have a food pantry for non-perishable food items. We use these items to fill our two pantries out front but also can help families that may need food!
We accept donations too! We especially need nonperishable food items, self care items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, and bath soap!
Call our front office if we can be of assistance or to drop off donations! 816-986-3340.
