Louis Armstrong was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, and singer. He was born on August 4, 1901 and died on July 6, 1971. His music was very popular in the 1920's, and he did a lot of work to get there. Some examples were teaching himself to play the cornet, or singing on street corners for pennies because him, or his family were not rich.


Louis inspired and impacted the world with his talents that he had with music. He was great at doing all types of music, but jazz was the most popular. He wrote and composed about his feelings and thoughts in the songs. People liked that because they could relate to him in some way. His music also made people get up and dance, or even make their own music. So, Louis music inspired and impacted people's live in the 1920's, and maybe his music is still impacting in today's time.
