ELA
The first couple of days in class we will be going over procedures and answering questions students may have. We will also be getting used to the new normal. Content will start on Wednesday. In ELA we are going to go back over the beginning of module 3. Since this was not done with a teacher we will refresh the students on the content. It will be wonderful to get into a new routine.

Math
Were back!!!! This week in math we are continuing to expand our knowledge about multiplying multi-digit numbers. We will be using our math binders, as well as our online Canvas course. Math homework will be unfinished class work. As always, please reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Science
In science our essential question is "What were the various efforts made to explore space?". This week we will have one final Mystery Science investigation. Students will investigate the question "Could there be life on other planets?". In this Mystery, students discover that the Earth is in the “Goldilocks Zone” — a distance from the Sun with the right amount of light and heat for life to exist. In the activity, Star Explorer, students plan a space mission to another planet outside our Solar System based on the amount of heat and light that reaches the planet’s surface. Once students plan their space mission, they will reflect on what our Sun would look like from this far-away planet. Then at the end of the week students will take a unit assessment on Earth and space.
