Attendance Awareness Month
Happy September!
September is attendance awareness month! Kendall classrooms earn daily perfect attendance classroom badges and are celebrated on the morning announcements once the class reaches their goal. Students who have perfect attendance and no tardies each nine weeks also will have the opportunity to participate in an attendance incentive celebration. Try out the quiz below to see if you are promoting good attendance at home.
Are you promoting good attendance?
Being in school every day—and on time—is key to your child’s academic success. Are you supporting your child’s attendance habit? Answer the fol¬lowing questions with yes or no to find out:
___1. Have you told your child that you expect her to go to school every day? If you tell her it’s important to you, it will become important to her.
___2. Do you only keep your child home if she’s sick?
___3. Do you try to schedule medical appointments and family trips outside of school hours?
___4. Do you help your child set the alarm clock earlier if she has trouble getting to school on time?
We appreciate your support and importance of having your child at school every day! Reminder that the building opens at 7:05 and the tardy bell rings at 7:35.
*Note from the Cafeteria: Ice Cream will continue being sold each Wednesday. This year our campus ice cream day will be Wednesday. The ice cream will be $1.00.
