If your child receives updated immunizations at his/her 11-year-old well check, please turn the record to me. I will then be able to make sure that the immunization record is as up-to-date as possible before he/she is promoted to middle school.

There are 3 vaccines recommended for preteens. At 11-12 years old, your preteen should receive vaccines to protect them from the following diseases:

Please remember that you are welcome to contact me if you have questions concerning immunizations.

Lake Travis ISD Superintendent’s statement on school shooting at Uvalde CISD May 24, 2022

Dear Lake Travis ISD Staff, Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of our school board and the entire LTISD family, I want to offer my sincere condolences for the tragic loss of life today at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde CISD. Our hearts are heavy for our fellow Texas school families who have been forced to cope with the grief and pain of such a traumatic event.

As the father of two children in our LTISD schools, I share your concerns and expectations for student safety, especially after an incident such as this one. But rest assured, we will continue to make the safety and wellbeing of our staff, students, and families our utmost priority. Our school counselors are available to assist anyone in need of support or resources during this difficult time.

Let us keep Uvalde CISD and those affected by this horrific act in our thoughts.
