Tyler is starting to settle in and is becoming more and more of an AWESOME kid! Tyler has learned to write the letter T and can verbally spell his name. He still loves playing outdoors and his favorite spot is a big pile of dirt. We enjoyed taking Tyler to his first Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It was great to watch him as he sat very still and watched the rodeo. He loved the Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Mutton Busting (which he decided he was going to do), the calf scramble, etc but he was very concerned for the steers and calves during the Calf Roping and Team Roping Events. One thing I love about Tyler is that he is rowdy and rambunctious but he has such an compassionate heart. He didn't care much for the concert so we left early to take him to the carnival. It's also Baseball season and our favorite friends, Katlyne and Marcus, play every year. So we have been enjoying time at the ball park. Tyler loves running the bases and "practicing" with Daddy. We are still active in our church and Tyler is learning to lead songs on singing nights. (his favorite is of course Jesus Loves Me)
Mr. Cook forgot to come and get Tyler on his scheduled Tuesday day visit. By that Thursday Tyler was continually asking about his brother. We made a phone call to Cook asking if we could meet for dinner or possibly come over so the boys could see each other. (this call was around 5pm) He informed us that he was getting Joseph ready for bed and that he would just come get Tyler the following Tuesday. Tyler's 10 sessions of play therapy are completed and we have decided to hold off and see how he does without it for a while. We will monitor him and if we feel he needs to continue than his Therapist said just give her a call. Tyler's behavior at daycare continues to improve, although for a while he was refusing to take a nap. ;)
We are Focusing on Tyler as much as possible and he seems to be settling in without his brother. We have been continuing with every other weekends with Joseph and Tyler continues with day visits every other Tuesday. Tyler is our BLESSING! <3
