Ring Leader Tidbits
~ Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful break and enjoyed time with your friends and family! We are at the busiest time of the year, with Christmas only a month away! We have a lot of fun in store for you the last part of December, so I hope you all will enjoy the fun as we are almost HALF way through the year. Can you believe it?1?
~ Shout out to Tracy Warrick and the Sunshine Committee for all the fun we had on Friday before break! Thanksgiving Bingo was a hit, and I know she has something planned for Christmas as well!
~ The stockings are getting hung! Don't forget to drop off your stocking to Lilly, so she can hang it on our "fireplace." Throughout the month, drop a note, a treat, a warm fuzzy, etc. in some stockings while you pass by! It's a great treat to get to look in the stockings as we leave on that last day before break.
School Bulletin
~ Notes about Literacy Night should be going out tomorrow! We are getting confirmation for Santa, and then we should be all set! Please try to attend, as this is one of our most heavily attended events of the year. The book fair will also be going on, and it's always very busy!!
~ Our Holiday feast will be next Friday. Notes will be going out this week to get a head count for our holiday meal.
~ Clubs are this Friday. This will be the last round of clubs until January. Please make sure you have let Laura know if you need her to get anything for your club this week.
~ The verdict is in, and the overall consensus was to have the holiday parties that morning of December 21st. We will begin the parties at 10:00 that morning. Please begin communicating this to parents now, as we have had it listed as 1:50 on the website since the start of the year. Thank you to everyone who voted! We appreciated getting all of your feedback.
Please know... you cannot show movies that afternoon (as tempting as it sounds). This is a full day of instruction. Holiday projects, etc. are fine, as long as they coincide with the TEKS, but we've been told several times to remind staff that Friday is a full day for students and should be treated as such. Having the parties at the earlier time is simply to allow more time for you to clean up and prepare for shutdown without having to do everything at the very end of the day. Thanks for your cooperation! :)
~ Starting on December 10th, we will start our Elk on the Shelf fun! For those new to campus and as a refresher to everyone's memory, here are the rules:
1. The Elk is hidden.
2. The person who finds the Elk takes a selfie and emails the staff.
3. The person receives a $10 gift card!
4. The person hides the elk again (at the end of the day) to be found the next day. Be creative and make it difficult!! Don't hide it in plain site!!
ONLY ONE WINNER PER DAY!! Please don't hide until the end of the day in order to prevent multiple findings in one day!!
