Have you registered your students for next year? As you know, each family needs to use the online registration system. You can register your incoming students through your parent portal account. All households must have a parent portal account in order to register. If you don't have one, please contact the office if you need assistance. Registration is due by May 5th. https://sis2.ddncampus.net/campus/portal/mitchell.jsp If you are not planning on returning to LBW, please contact the office as well about your plans for the fall of 2023.

Over the past few weeks the 3rd-5th graders have been working hard to complete the annual Smarter Balance test. This is the state test that is required to be taken by all students each year. Thank you for having your students prepared each day for this important state requirement. The individual assessment data will be given to us soon once all grade levels are done towards the end of the first week of May.

Thank you to LBW PTO for hosting our outstanding Fine Arts Night the last Thursday in April. What a wonderful time to celebrate our students artwork in K-5 throughout our building plus hearing the 5th grade Band and Show Choir perform. An added bonus as well was learning some folk dances in the gym. Plus reading literacy information for the summer. We appreciate all the volunteers that made this a huge success in the kitchen as we served hot dogs and pork sandwiches. We appreciate the support!

We would like to invite you all to 5th Grade Recognition Night on May 16th at 6:30 at the Performing Arts Center. This is a fun night as we celebrate our 5th grade student's successes. We wish them well as they move onto 6th grade. We hope to see you there.

If your child has any medications at school, they need to be picked up from the nurse’s office by 3:00 pm on May 26th. They must be picked up by a parent and signed for. This includes prescription as well as OTC medication.
