Evamere 100th Day of School
Evamere enjoyed celebrating the 100th day of school on Friday, January 29th. The 100th day activities included making fruit loop necklaces out of groups of ten, rolling dice 100 times, and as a school doing 100 exercises. It was wonderful to see the students engage in this exciting day of math. Thank you to all the parents that helped to run stations in our classrooms.
Evamere One Book, One School Project: Mr. Popper's Penguins was a Big Success
The month of January involved each class reading the book Mr. Popper's Penguins. Every day the students heard a new penguin fact on the morning announcements, as well as researching additional facts in the classroom. The students also watched the live penguin cam to see how penguins behave on land and water. The unit culminated with a black and white day and the family movie night. Thank you to all the families who attended this special event. It was a great month of learning at Evamere!
